Galilee Leadership Institute

I attended an Elite Leadership and Army Training Program in the Galil (North District) of Israel. I lived in a small village and did volunteering and community involvement activities in northern Israel, working with autistic children in schools, visiting Holocaust Survivors in nursing homes, and helping farmers grow crops. I traveled around the country, met Palestineans and Israelis in the West Bank, and learned survival skills in the desert. One night, while I was isolating in the desert, sleeping all by myself whilst making my own shelter, I had an epiphany. Looking at all the thousands of stars above, I felt so far away from everything. I had to go back to New York, study music, and chase my dreams.
